WILLHOSKING

Second year Mechanical Engineering student at Canterbury Christ Church University, interested in robotics and product development.

I also run WVH Developments, building software for my own clients.

STEM learning platform / Creator and developer / 2025 to present

Assembly
Labs

A gamified learning platform for electrical engineering, circuits, physics and maths. I created the product and built browser based workspaces where learners can practise formulas and circuit logic interactively.

Project 02

University CAD project / Student designer / 2025 to 2026

Multi-axis
robotic arm

This was a group engineering project in Autodesk Fusion 360. Each member designed different parts of the multi degree of freedom arm, then we brought them together into one assembly. I contributed CAD parts and brackets, and worked with the group to check joint movement, collisions and reach.

Experience

WVH Developments / Founder / 2024 to present

I work with
my own clients.

I founded WVH Developments and built my own client base. I work directly with businesses, turning their briefs into websites, software and automated systems. I handle the communication as well as the technical delivery.

What it taught me

Clear communication.
Practical problem solving.
Responsibility for delivery.

Client work has taught me to clarify requirements, explain technical choices and stay accountable to someone else. Those are habits I bring to an engineering team.

Earlier experience

January 2023 to July 2024

Business Management and Administration Apprentice

Canterbury Christ Church University

I supported Student Support Services and Marketing operations, including administrative work and Excel reporting sheets. It gave me early experience of working with teams, processes and information that needed to be accurate.

About me

I started in software, moved into mechanical engineering and kept both.

I'm a second year Mechanical Engineering student based in Canterbury. I am most interested in robotics, product development and work that connects physical systems with useful software.

Outside engineering, I represented England at the 2022 European Roller Hockey Championships in Spain and have won a national championship.
